The Danish House in Palestine Partner of Dalia Assosiation

“Design In Context”

Dalia is Implementing this project in collaboration with the Danish House In Palestine, according to the partnership agreement signed, and through the " Women Supporting Women" program, One of the grant making programs in which Dalia Association focus on the decision-making process, prioritizing needs, utilizing local resources and activating the role of the Palestinian Diaspora and community involvement in the monitoring and evaluation process.

The project aims to energize the field of design in Palestine. Dalia has targeted through this project the women associations that previously received grants from Dalia Association within the program "Women Supporting Women" based on Dalia’s objectives in linking grassroots associations with expertise and resources.

 

The Danish House in Palestine (DHIP): 

 is a non-profit, non-governmental, politically independent organization that facilitates dialogueand cultural exchanges between Danish and Palestinian professionals. DHIP provides designers, auto mechanics, journalists, students, filmmakers, farmers, and many more with the opportunity to participate in inspiring, intercultural, exchange projects.

The Fashion and Textile Institute (FTI):

The first in Palestine to provide training programs in the textile industry. It was founded in 1994 and offers its students a two-year degree in fashion design. It is based in Beit Sahour and is governed by a fifteen-member board of directors. It’s also a partner in this project.

 

 

The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts - The School of Design (KADK):

An educational institution under The Danish Ministry

of Science, Innovation and Higher Education. Has existed

for more than 135 years. Consists of the Danish Design

School, the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of

Architecture and School of Conservation. It is also a partner

in this project
