  • Introduction:

 

Dalia Association is a community foundation that realizes our rights as Palestinians to control our resources for our own durable development for generations to come. Our mission is to mobilize and properly utilize resources necessary to empower a vibrant, independent, and accountable civil society, through community-controlled grant-making. Our community development approach focuses on the ecological, local economy, social and cultural dimensions.

 

  • Consultancy Overview:

The objective of this consultancy is to provide strategic guidance and support to Dalia Association in diversifying and enhancing our resource mobilization efforts. The consultant will work closely with the fundraising and communication officer, Dalia’s team, and key stakeholders to develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy and plan tailored to our organization's mission and values.

 

  • Scope of work:
  • Develop comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with Dalia’s mission, vision, and mandate.
  • Research and identify potential funding opportunities, grants, and corporate sponsorships aligned with the organization's mission and objectives.
  • Conduct prospect research to identify potential donors, sponsors, and funding opportunities.
  • Develop and implement fund raising campaigns and events, including online crowdfunding, gala dinners, and charity auctions.
  • Analyze fundraising data and metrics to track progress, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and recommend adjustments as needed to optimize outcomes.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and regulations in fundraising and philanthropy.
  • Maintain relationships with existing donors and respond to their requests regularly and keep updating them about the work of Dalia, in addition to arranging for meetings and visits.
  • Provide guidance on various fundraising techniques, including major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grant writing, direct mail campaigns, online fundraising, and special events.
  • Offer guidance and support to staff, executive management and volunteers involved in fundraising activities.

 

  • Deliverables:
  • Develop and formulate the Fundraising strategy and action plan with clear objectives, targets, and timelines.
  • Updated Dalia’s profile and project design documents for proposal writing
  • Update List of potential giver and partners (international, private sector and individuals) in alignment of Dalia’s mandate of unconditional funding and aid washing
  • Develop and provide mentorship and materials / resources for staff capacity development
  • High-quality grant proposals, funding applications, and donor appeals.
  • Reporting:

The Fundraising consultant will be directly reporting the the executive director of Dalia, Regular follow up meetings and status report and KPIs updates will be scheduled to ensure effective communication and alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (Major in Communications, Fundraising, Journalism, Marketing, or any related fields.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in proposal and report writing (preferably in a nonprofit organization context)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in the community sector in Palestine and understanding of current donors.
  • Native English level (writing, speaking, reading), fluent Arabic
  • Excellent fundraising, proposal writing skills and experiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

 

  • Consultancy terms and conditions:
  • Duration: 1 year
  • Type of contract: Consultancy term / 12 month.
  • Probation period: 3 months and will be renewed another 3 months based on performance of Deliverables
  • Working Hours: 35 Hours a week, from Sunday until Thursday
  • Location: Dalia Office, Ramallah
