On the 22nd and 23rd of August 2022, Dalia Association, in collaboration with Kufor Aqab Municipality, organized the "Women of Kufor Aqab Food Bazaar".
The participants brought with them a wide variety of products, such as food products like baked goods and homemade sweets, spices, and dried fruits, while others brought with them artworks and house decorations, and others had handmade accessories, embroidery bags and scarves, and others. Other products included hygiene products, such as homemade shampoos and soaps made from natural components.
The goal we aim to achieve through such bazaars is to empower the working Palestinian woman, especially those who work at home, and shed light on their efforts, in addition to offering them a space to showcase their work and sell it. This bazaar also serves Dalia's mission to encourage the community to buy local products and avoid relying on imported goods, as well as supporting the local economy.
The Bazaar hosted a storytelling activity in collaboration with Siraj Libraries on both days, in addition to a Henna drawing activity.
