In January 2019, we organized a field trip for the Women Funds to the Jordan Valley, in order to exchange experiences and knowledge among the members. We visited the members of the Jericho women fund, and other women who received a grant from Dalia. We first visited Amna in Jiftlek and she elaborated on her experience with keeping a bee farm. Then we visited the artist Zeinab also from Jiftlek to learn about her hand made jewelry using upcycled materials, she also makes coffee from date pits. Then we went to Nuweimeh to learn about the mosaic project by Rusayla. Our last stop took us to Aqabet Jaber refugee camp in Jericho, and we learned from Jamileh about the women’s association’s activities, such as providing healthy meals to the children in the schools, as well as organizing winter camps for the local women, and providing skills training. We also visited the first mud brick guest house.
