Women Supporting Women Bazaar

Dalia Association, in collaboration with the Women’s Studies Center, organized a charity bazaar to support and empower women entrepreneurs with micro-projects. The event took place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the A. M. Qattan Foundation Cultural Center in Ramallah.

The bazaar featured the participation of forty women showcasing diverse projects. Their products included various traditional Palestinian crafts, such as embroidery, leatherwork, soap making, ceramics, wooden crafts, straw products, sculptures, food products, and other traditional handmade items.

The bazaar aimed to provide participants with an opportunity to market their products and introduce them to the public. It also sought to promote networking between the participants and attendees, which included individuals and representatives from governmental, private, and civil society organizations.

The organizing institutions ensured ticket sales for attendees, with the proceeds dedicated to supporting the participating women, sustaining their projects, and offering a modest income to those who were unable to sell their products during the bazaar.

The bazaar was held as part of the “Women Supporting Women” program implemented by Dalia Association. Fifteen women from the "Hand of Tales" project, also implemented by the association, took part in the bazaar. Through this project, participants benefited from a series of technical and administrative training sessions, which included technical support for handmade crafts, as well as specialized training programs in management skills, financial management, marketing, and social protection.

Dalia Association views such activities as a means to enhance the sustainability of small and micro-projects, especially those led by women, given their role in strengthening the economic resilience of Palestinian families and increasing women’s participation in economic activities.
